I woke up this morning craving pineapple. Maybe because I have been eating like crap? Sugar, grains, and booze. Maybe my body is begging my for the vitamin C and anti-inflammatory benefits of fresh pineapple? Maybe I am just a little hung over and could use pina colada? Maybe I could satiate my craving with some pineapple vodka? No, no more liquor.
There are articles touting the great things pineapple does for a body, the fore mentioned vitamin C and anti-inflammatory action. They are also high in water, fiber and potassium. There are inferences that it even changes personal “fluids” if you know what I mean.
Fresh pineapples can be a little intimidating, a rough exterior hides the sweet fruity juicy goodness inside. Luckily Raj and I have put together a “how-to” for picking and cutting pineapples. He even tells you how to grow them. I have never done so successfully; I always end up with dead leaves in slimy water, but he has.
