We struggled with what we should call this. I mean “Apple Onion Sheet Pan Side” doesn’t really tell you how amazingly delicious this dish is. So good. Like you can’t stop eating it delicious. It’s so simple, seasonal and delicious. Bacon Apple Side? Bacon Apple Bake? “Sex in a Pan” was already taken… I still don’t know what to call it, but I want to make it and put it in my mouth! Let’s go with the Apple Bacon Sheet Pan Side.
Can you believe we are on the cusp of the holiday season? And a few short weeks to the New Year! I recently moved and changed day jobs, so I am looking forward to the New Year with a new home and a new job. This is both exciting and entirely frightening.
It is funny how you don’t quite realize how much stuff you have until you have to pack it up and move it. But in this instance, I did know how much stuff I had. I was feeling entirely overwhelmed by my things. Now I have moved into a home with 2 roommates. It means we each have a water filter, and spices, and dishes, and food…
Plus I have moved into the smallest room- it only fits my bed. I had to put my dresser inside the closet so that I could open the drawers. Really the house should have been advertised as a 2 bedroom plus den, or maybe a child’s room.
But I can live with a small room. It means that my life is about to get a whole lot lighter: I will ruthlessly go thru everything, clothes, and stuff, kitchen equipment, books. It will all be paired down to the things I love and use. I’ll have to make use of the sunroom and the cellar.
Do you ever feel overwhelmed by your things? I have done the Marie Kondo method of cleaning, but is there something new? Hip and exciting way to organize your things? Let me know!
While you are enjoying this delicious apple onion sheet pan side with your turkey and maybe cranberry sauce I’ll be assessing my Tupperware and disposing of expired supplements. And I’m weirdly excited about it. Happy Thanksgiving!
