There are lots of options for amazing substitutions and additions with this smoothie. Enjoy!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup coconut or almond milk
- 3–4 large mint leaves (fresh) OR Thai basil leaves are also awesome in this smoothie (it was a close second place)
- 1 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup blackberries
- 1/4 avocado
optional:
- 1/2 – 1 cup spinach
- zest of 1/2 orange
- coconut whipped cream on top
Instructions
- In a blender combine all ingredients. Blend until smooth.
- Serve.
- Drink.
Notes
Seems like there should be more instructions based on all the effort I put into playing with flavors, so if you’re making this for Mom on Mother’s Day, find a fancy glass, top with whipped coconut cream, grate some dark chocolate over that, and garnish with mint (or basil) leaves.
