Unexpected in liquid format maybe, but the flavor combination of the Balsamic Pear Smoothie is so fresh and so clean clean!
Strangely, I can't think of any amazing stories today. So I thought, why not tell you about the book I just read? Don't worry, no spoilers here. I love the writings of Chuck Palahniuk (author of Fight Club
). Like Fight Club, Chuck's books have twisted and dark humor, random interesting and little-known facts, unexpected twists, very unique views of the world, often unusual sex-related scenes, and descriptions that will make your face distort in ways that you didn't know were possible.
Beautiful You is the one that I just finished reading. The looks that Chuck contorted my face into in response to some of the scenes were likely as entertaining as the story itself.
Not only are his stories entertaining in so many ways, they make you question things that you likely don't put much time into contemplating.
If you haven't read any of his books, I recommend starting with Choke (I've included a few Amazon affiliate links to make it easier to find). I won't tell you anything about it other than that book is a good way to get hooked on Chuck.

One quick note- pears: they have a lot of fiber, and you might find the texture of the smoothie to be not as smooth as other fruits. The avocado helps with that a bit, but I just wanted to let you know that with most blenders, that's what you'll find. Maybe a fancy Vitamix would smooth it out more….

Balsamic Pear Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 pear (cored/seeded)
- ½ avocado (pitted and skinned)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 3 tsp balsamic vinegar
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients until smooth.
This was VERY nice! I couldn’t stop sipping! Perfect for cooling yourself down on a hot sunny day or after a workout 🙂
hmmmm….gonna need to try this one!
