The Sunrise Blossom Smoothie combines sweet strawberries with a citrus twist to make this smoothie a great way to start your day.
Remember how last week I promised innovative recipes? Well, my original plan didn’t really pan out for me. Sometimes that happens. As a result, I haven’t been grocery shopping, and have been eating the most random combinations of things. Sometimes even surprise things out of the freezer! Yay for Raj’s butter chicken and duck soup. I should be better about labeling freezer dishes.
Foraging in my freezer for food, how very paleo of me! The foraging anyways, freezers aren’t “paleo”. I did have a few things in my fridge and made a happy combination for this breakfast smoothie. So here we are innovation in a pinch!
I called this a “sunrise” smoothie because there were a couple of days these last couple weeks I watched the sunrise; either on my way to work extra early, or up extra early for no good reason, my sleeping has sucked lately. Our local orchards are in bloom and we went for a little drive the other day looking at the blossoms.
The orange blossom water really makes for a unique flavor, I wonder if cherry blossoms or apple blossoms would have a similar flavor as the fruit? Without delay; sunrise blossom smoothie, sweet strawberries, and a citrus twist!
